Changed lines 23-25 from:

What with the charts?

On the right side you see two charts. The pie chart represents the USA Budget for year 2009. Currently it covers only portion of the budget related to the government.

to:

What’s the game?

On the right side of the screen you see a Flash window. It is a “calculator” that shows you how much is our government really cost. When travel through the web site, the calculator will show you charts and other useful information. If you cannot see the content, then you probably need to install Adobe Flash plug-in.

Taxopedia is a public portal that provides people with easy access to both federal and state budgets, educates people about government structure and taxes, as well as the effect the government makes on our lives, and the related laws. In order to create the picture we collect, organize and verify the information that already has been disclosed on official government web sites. On many occasions we present an additional information obtained from other reliable sources. We use the latest information technologies to make information more accessible and easy to understand.

What our government does not want you to know:

  1. You do not need to be an expert in finance or accounting to understand the government budget. After all, most of the government bureaucrats, who create the state and federal budget, are neither.
  2. Only small portion of our tax money is going to police, roads, parks, emergency, and safety. Much bigger portion of the federal budget is allocated to pay for government itself, their lobbyists and supporters.
  3. You are paying for your neighbor. Almost 50% of the U.S. citizens do not pay taxes at all, but they vote. Government using your money to keep their seats.
